Hi, my two year old Great Dane/Shepherd mix is shuttering. He sleeps, eats and plays like normal, he just starts shuttering once in a while. I explained it to the vet like “when you get a sharp pain and tense up” that’s what it’s like… he does this about every ten seconds, but not all the time. He has an appt on Thursday for the vet, but I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this with their dog?

It’s hard to explain exactly what it feels like, it’s just like he has small spasms. Like he’s tensing up just for a few seconds then it stops, then ten seconds later he’s doing it again…
