I need help with my dog carrier problem please?

My parents bought my dogs a cpl new carriers for Christmas. They were pretty expensive and I dont want to be rude and return them. We have other carriers but the dogs outgrew them pretty quickly… We like to travel and we often take the dogs different places, like state parks, 3 times a week. The new carriers do not have these slots… Does anyone know how to secure the carriers into the back seats so it would be safe?
